You must know that I am a BAA Pensioner,formerly Operations Controller at Heathrow Airport, living in a small village 55km from Rome,Italy.

My pension, alas, is paid by bank transfer in Pound Sterling by BAA Pension Trust Company, into my Current account which is denominated in Euros.

Ever since October 2008 I have been seeing the amount of monthly Euros available in my account diminish by a sizeable chunk: Where once I could have expected 2000 Euros in my pay packet, this month I will be lucky to see about 1590 or thereabouts.

As far as you and Daniel are concerned, you have both always been extremely courteous and professional. I never once felt that you hadn't the time to chat or to explain things to me in layman's terms. No pressure, in fact little suggestion there was a product on sale. I cannot commend enough, the dignified and good natured manner with which you have dealt with my moans and groans since the events of last Friday.

As I said the 'other' company have become very threatening and aggressive and have emphatically denied that any pressure was applied. Indeed they have accused me of being dishonest, I will forward the e-mail I sent to them, referring to the conversation in question. Incidentally, my daughter was there at the time.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for all you have done for us over the past 6 months. It seems like the appropriate time for some acknowledgment as I have just bought my last Euros in connection with buying my new property in Corfu and the installation of the swimming pool. What a 6 months it has been!

When I first contacted you back in October when we were first contemplating buying the villa, I knew nothing about exchange rates or the significance of them. I also never knew that the last place to buy your currency was your bank! What a learning curve it has been - especially as we committed to this project just before everything went mad! When we started the GBP was at about 1.44 against the Euro. I think it is currently trading at about 1.25! I have just calculated that the the average rate we have achieved over the whole project since November is in fact 1.3770. Had we purchased this money through our bank then I calculate we would have paid at least £15,000 more! Your services have in essence paid for all the furniture and fitting out of the villa.

You have helped me through what has been a really stressful process - watching the GBP fall alarmingly. But thank you for all your help and advice. Each time I bought Euros from you the whole process went smoothly and professionally. You always answer your phone, return my call promptly and reply to emails within minutes. I would absolutely recommend your service to others.
